Temptation

Life throws us alot of difficulties and obstacles that each of us must overcome. Life also throws us temptations along the way disguised as desires and opportunities. Temptation comes in all forms, it comes when you are most vulnerable. It comes when you are most desperate. It is so easy to give in to temptation and once its got you hooked its so hard to look back at what your risking to lose. It makes it hard to see what you're leaving behind. You grow more and more curious about what it's like to have a taste of that apple. Temptation makes you regret what has not yet come to pass. Temptation teaches you how to deceive and manipulate, it teaches you how to hide and make excuses for your actions. Temptation makes a heart confused.

Temptation is when desire comes across opportunity.

Temptation = Desire + Opportunity

Temptation only leads to sin when you act upon it.

Sin = Desire + Opportunity + Action

In this case I view Sin not as who a person is, but what a person does and how he treats others. Don't let yourself be taken by temptation. We are taught to avoid sin by changing our desires and limiting our opportunities and take away that temptation. It's so funny because the world today seem to be driven by desires and opportunities which feeds temptation.

Lead us not into temptation.
