How can someone be torn between someone theyve known for 7 years... and someone theyve known for only 3 months? I dont understand. Is this why people divorce? Is this why people split up? All the temptations are there. The rush of a new love. All the exciting feelings that comes along with it. That's not really what defines love.
What defines love is the commitment and loyalty that you put into it. It's defined by how you argue and how you make up afterwards. It's defined by the respect that you both give it. It's defined by the sacrifices and the selfless acts you made for each other. Love is not defined by the excitement of getting to know someone new. If that's all that you seek I can promise you that all your relationships wont last. Its not about the chase, it's what you do once you grab hold of it.
